Kirtan is a practice of Yoga that involves the singing of Mantras. These Mantra are generally in Sanskrit used for their vibrational qualities. Coupled with music, the mind is set aside while these vibrations serve as a practice of Yoga for the heart where we find harmonization of our emotions and upliftment of the spirit. Community Kirtan is a free event that is open to all. Kids are most welcomed and the only pre-requisite is an open mind. Come a little earlier especially if you are new to the practice and stay a little longer for a chat with other like minded souls within the community.
Bookings are not needed for this event. Mats and bolsters are available for sitting but you are very welcomed to bring your own if you prefer. Check slide show above for details.
