Enjoy a long leisurely afternoon of rejuvenation and restoration. The Breathe, Open, Relax and Restore retreat is comprised of a series of Yogic practices specially sequenced to revitalise body, mind and soul.
The retreat starts with an exploration of breath which we tend to neglect and take for granted. Through the appreciation of our natural breathing patterns, we have a real opportunity to dive deeper into voluntary breathing practices that help to regulate nervous system and improve mental clarity. This is followed by a gentle Yin practices that help to stretch the joints of the body. The breath is also applied here to assist us into the postures and support the mind in remaining present with the practice.
A guided relaxation in the form of Yoga Nidra comes after the Yin sequence to encourage rest for the body and mind through an experience of sense withdrawal. The day will conclude with 2.5 hours of restorative yoga, a treat for the entire being, moving through a series of beautiful poses that will soften, soothe and release physical and mental tension.
Everyone is welcome, No experience is required for any of the practices. Mats, bolsters and props will be provided for the retreat as will afternoon tea. Bring a towel, a light wrap for covering body, socks and an eye pillow if you own one.
